Here are the Black Desert Global Lab patch notes for Oct. 4th, 2018.

In this update, new changes were added including Fishing Skill Mastery, Sailing Skill Mastery, and more.

In Black Desert Global Lab, for a smooth test performance, you will start as a Lv. 60 class when you create a character, and 2,792 Skill Points will be given to your created character.

You can also obtain Global Lab exclusive items through completing Challenges (Y), or Global Lab Goods Vendor NPCs.

* Node/Conquest War is not currently available in Black Desert Global Lab even though information about them are included in the patch notes.

* The updates applied to Black Desert Global Labs are exclusive to this server. Therefore, this patch note may differ from the live server updates.

 

● Following changes have been newly-applied to Node War.

- The minimum participant requirements for each Node has been removed. (There will only be limitations to the maximum capacity.)

- The Guild must check the maximum participant capacity for the desired Node before constructing a fort.

- Fort must be built in order for the guild members to be able to make requests to participate in Node Wars.

- Forts can be uninstalled up until 1 hour before the beginning of a Node War. If the Fort is uninstalled, your Guild can construct another Fort in another Node to participate in that Node War.

- However, if the Fort has been completed in construction, it cannot be uninstalled regardless of time.

- When uninstalling a Fort under construction, the list of participants will reset and so the members need to re-enlist to participate in the new Node War.

- Changing participation status is allowed up to 1 hour before Node War starts. Participation status cannot be changed to ‘No’ after Node War starts.

- If the maximum number of participants allowed for Node War is not filled up, any non-participants may join the Node War (However, a Fort must have been constructed in prior).

- If there are 20 participants filled up for a Node War with maximum participation of 40 members, 20 additional participants may join as long as a Fort is constructed in prior. (While Node War is in progress, participation status can be changed from No to Yes but NOT vice versa.)

- However, no additional participants may join Node War if there already is 40 participants when the maximum allowed is 40. If they change their status to ‘No’ 1 hour before Node War starts, members that are not currently participating can choose to participate as long as there is space available.

- The’ End Recruit’ button was changed to the ‘Rewards’ button.

● Points were added to Node/Conquest War.

- Adventurers that are in the top 5% of winners for awarded points from Node War will get additional medals. However, they will not be awarded additional medals if there is a tie.

e.g.) 1st-5th place all have 5 points, then no one will get the 1st place reward.

● The reward 'Shining Medal of Honor' was added for participants of Node War.

- You can get the 'Shining Medal of Honor' by collecting ‘Participation Reward’ in the guild window after Node War ends. (The Node War your guild fought in must end to collect your rewards.)

- You cannot apply to participate in the next Node War if you have not collected your rewards.

- The number of medals you’ll get is listed below.

● The ‘Crio Fishing Chair’ was added and it allows you to sit while fishing.

* Crio Fishing Chair can be made in a residence with a level 3 Carpentry Workshop.

- Required Materials: Standardized Timber Square x15, Ash Plywood x5, Steel x5 Monk's Branch x5, Trace of Origin x20, Plywood Hardener x5

* Crio Fishing Chair has 100 durability and loses 1 durability each time you fish.

* The fishing chair can be used by equipping it to your character. It increases the character’s Fishing Skill Mastery by 100.

● The 3 Krogdalo’s Horse Gear Sets are imbued with the mighty attributes from the origins of Krogdalo’s power.

* These items can be made in the level 3 Horse Gear Workshop in Stonetail Horse Ranch. When 3 or more of them are equipped at a time, they can make certain skills stronger with their set effects.

● The new item 'Gold Bar 10,000G' was added.

- This items weighs 150LT.

- This item can be sold for 1,000,000,000 silver and bought for 1,001,000,000 silver at a Currency Exchange.

 

[Contents]

● Sailing Skill Mastery system was added.

- Sailing Skill Mastery is a measure of the individual’s Sailing Skill Mastery and is different from the pre-existing life skill levels.

- Sailing Skill Mastery is affected by the previous life skill levels, Enchanted Manos Sailor’s Clothes, and Enchanted Manos Sailor’s accessories.

- The improved ship’s stats will be applied when the adventurer equipped with the Sailing Skill Mastery items get on board their own Epheria Sailboat/Frigate.

- You’ll be able to use more ship skills and increase the stats of Epheria Sailboat/Frigate with higher Sailing Skill Mastery.

- A new method of learning new ship skills was added with the Sailing Skill Mastery system. You’ll be able to use all your previous ship skills as normal according to your Sailing level.

* Watch out for Garmoth’s first attack as it has the Knockdown effect.

[Interface Changes]

● The Pearl Shop UI was changed.

- Sale, New, and Event items will be displayed when you click on the Hot & New menu.

- The remaining time for items on sale will be displayed when there is less than 1 day left for their sale period.

- Items that are on sale will display their discount amount on their banners.

● Added a function that displays the number of identical stones your carrying in your inventory and the number of full stones when you click ‘Item Count’ for Marni’s Stone.

● The camera while observing has been changed to move slower than before.

● Fixed the issue where the safe enhancement UI would appear in the enhancement window even though safe enhancement wasn’t available for the items that were placed.

● You’ll now open a web browser when you click the following menu buttons.

- The 'Guide Video' button in the top right corner of the game screen.

- The 'Guide Video' button in the bottom right of the World Map.

- The 'Skill Combo Guide Video' button in the bottom right of the Skill window (K).

● Video links included in the ‘Guild Description’ can be played.

● Fixed the issue where the completed guild quest would disappear when more than enough monsters were defeated or materials gathered.

● The weight warning notification will only be displayed in the bottom right corner of the game screen.

● Fixed the issues where the skill EXP and Energy changes were displayed at a strange location when using the customizable ‘HP Bar’.

● Fixed the issue where the first decimal place was marked wrong for Life Skill EXP in ‘My Information’ (P).

● Changed the reward collection button to be displayed grey for Challenge rewards that cannot be collected.

● Fixed the awkward camera angle that was used when interacting with the NPC during the quest 'The Man with the Black Hand'.

● Fixed the issue where you didn’t learn the necessary Knowledge even if your amity with the NPC Sarma Anin was 250 or higher.

● Changed the ‘Find NPC’ function in the World Map so that 'Alustin' and 'Zaaira' would not be searchable in Terrmian Beach.

● Fixed the issue where footprints would appear abnormal with the Optimization Mode display setting.

● Fixed the issue where the Elephant ‘Summon’ button would not be displayed when the Elephant was completed in the Elephant Nursery.
